Air France Baggage Rules

  • The baggage rules for Air Franceis based on the piece concept instead of destination concept.
  • Passengers are eligible to check in up to 3 bags up to 23kg and 158 cm (all dimensions included) each for free depending on the cabin class: 1 piece for Economy Class, 2 pieces for Premium, 3 pieces for World Business Affaires and la Premiere.
  • All Flying Blue members can check in one more baggage of up to 23kg, independently from their travel class.
  • The fine for exceeding this limit is €100 for travelers from Europe and 100 USD from elsewhere. If passengers carry an second baggage in Voyageur and Economy cabins, they have to pay €55 from Europe and 55 USD elsewhere, whereas in other cabins €200, 200 USD respectively. For those who check in online the is a fine discount of 20%.

  • Check-in: Passengers of Air France can check-in online via the Air France website. The procedure is available starting 24h up to 2h before the scheduled flight departure. When travelling from France airport without baggage, passengers can also tele check-in (via phone) or fast check-in (special kiosks at the airports).
